Spring is a season of renewal, and with Fostering Connections, we see this same spirit of new beginnings in the lives of the children and families we serve.

Because of your generosity and dedication, we continue to work to create safe, loving homes for children in foster care and support adoptive families on their journeys. Your commitment makes a lasting impact, and we are deeply grateful.

Our Anchor Family Program is growing and we are on a mission to match 25 Young Adults with caring Anchor Families by the end of 2025. Here is what Nick, one young adult in our new program, has to say about the Anchor Family Program and his Anchor Family, Phillip and Shanna Frank.

“This program has helped me immensely already. From providing me support through Phillip and Shanna, while also providing me with an avenue to take drivers ed, the Anchor Family Program has given me lots of hope for my future. Phillip and Shanna definitely tend to be the highlights of my week!”

Last month, at our Teen Impact event, we had the chance to make goal posters and set goals for this year, as well as play some pickleball! Our TIE events teach valuable life skills to young adults and have enjoyable activities. Creating goal posters helped them envision their future and set goals for the next few months!

We also had an amazing Kids Morning Out in partnership with the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg. Foster and adoptive parents had a well-deserved break while church and community volunteers entertained the children. We are incredibly grateful to First United Methodist Church who did a fantastic job coordinating snacks, games, crafts, and a lesson, ensuring the event was both enjoyable and memorable for the kids!
